I was wondering if anyone stayed in a Florence Crittenton Home in North Carolina in 1979, and if so, whether or not you knew my birth mother. I have no name, only non-id. info. I don't know specifics of where I was born, only that I am from NC. I have been searching since age 13...and have been getting run-around from many people, including my adoptive parents. I know I wasn't adopted until February 1980, and had to have been called by some name for the few months before my adoption. Also, my adoption went through CHS of Greensboro, and to my knowledge, they don't have on-site foster care...I am just wondering where I was for the first 3 months of my life?? This is so frustrating....thanks for your time.

your name
I was born 6/7/77, and my adoption was handled through of gso. While I was in their care, and foster care, they gave me a nursery name. It was not my birth name, or my adopted name. If you talk to the post adoption counseler there, she will tell you what it was. She may even be able to give you some info, that is non identifying that could be helpful.

Have you contacted CHS for your non-identifying info? If not, do so immediately. Ask for Edith Votta. Tell her you would like to request your non-id.
