Request for information

Would you be able to give me information on Iowa births in 1960 in the SE Iowa area; for example, I believe Cedar Rapids is where my mother was when her son "Stephen Henderson" was born. It was in the winter/spring of 1960. Many thanks. Christine Kellogg (Virginia Beach, VA)

Florence Crittenton - NJ

I would be interested in the address or contact information for the home in Trenton, NJ. I was there in 1988, but was told that shortly after i gave birth the state of NJ closed that location due to shortage of funds. I'd like to find out if that was true and also write to them and get information on my short stay there. Could you help me? (i'm a newbie to this forum).
Thanks!
Becky

I was at FCUH in Norfolk in 1968. I have been trying to find information and have received an index card with my basic information. I am told that is all that is left and I had a copy of that sent to me by Coordinators Two. I have address, phone etc. if you are interrested.

I have posted twice but did not include contact info. I was at Florence Crittenton in Norfolk, Va. in 1968. July through September. I have information on getting just an index card with your basic info from a place called Coordinators Two. I am told that is all that is left of the records from the home other than what became a part of the adoption record which of course we are not allowed to see. email is nkadiddle@aol.com

Lisa my adoption was in NJ in 1971. From what I understand and it may still be true, to open records is impossible. What do you know? You can email me at kendraiacouzze@yahoo.com. I have been searching on off for years, but I have decided to really attack this now. In the past I always gave up because of the concrete cement 12 foot walls I come up against with the adoption records in NJ.

Thanks Kendra

I had stayed in a Florence Crittenton Home in NJ in 1988. I wasn't able to get my records but the University of Minnesota Social Archives was able to give me an idea of where to search for my records and get me the information i needed to get my baby's and my records from the hospital i was in. Contact this email address: Linnea Anderson
E-mail Address(es):
ande3748@tc.umn.edu

Ask Linnea to assist you. They will charge for any copies but will email with you to clarify what records they do have for your location.

Good Luck!

The Florence Crittenton Home in Trenton NJ is now closed as a maternity home. I did research for my stay there in 1988. The home is now a jail of sorts for criminal teenagers sent there through the courts.
