BIRTH MOTHER FROM FL. WAS AT FCH IN CHAMBLEE,GA

Lisa, I was sent to Florence Crittendon Home from Hawaii, not Florida. I was 17 and planned to keep my baby and marry my boyfriend who was Hawaiian/Portuguese/Caucasian. My parents were in Air Force stationed in Hawaii and were dead set against me marrying the daddy. I fought with the Home and my parents from day one insisting that I would not give up my baby for adoption.

I was two weeks late on 9/17/67 and went into labor. They took me to Crawford Long. They knocked me out. I kept asking for my baby. A doctor finally came in and told me that it was a baby girl and that she was still born.

Chrismas Eve this year my younger sister said my mother had slipped a couple of days before after too many drinks and said, "that baby was adopted the minute it was born." I'm trying to find out if I have a living child. Could you be her?

I have found my birth mother. I do know she did go to the hospital with 2 other girls from the home. I hope you have found your child. Good luck in your search.
