Anyone work from home

Hello everyone! I would like to know if anyone works from home using their computer. I am interested in generating extra cash to add to my husbands income, but I'm very skeptical of these work from home programs. Anyone involved with the MOM TEAM?- I see that they are supposed to promote safe, non-toxic cleaning products--Sounds interesting, but would like to know if it is worth it. Also, I am thinking of starting a small online business---Don't know exactly what yet--still brainstorming. I would also like to launch a free website for us mommies--Message boards, inspirational messages, recipe exchanges, quizzes-things of that nature. Will take time- still in planning stages.
Sorry that I have not properly introduced myself, I just found this board so interesting and cozy- I just jumped right in!

My name is Melanie, I am 25 year old stay-at-home mom, I have a one-year-old son named Malik/a step-daughter(I don't like to refer to her as that- she's like my own child),Nyasia(lives with her mother) a husband, Martin, we live in Queens, New York, and my hobbies include reading, crocheting(beginner), writing when the mood hits, listening to music, Internet cruising and learning about computers on my own.

working at home

Hi Melanie,

Glad to hear you find this place cozy!

I work from home, teaching courses from my computer and I love it! It's especially convenient when the kids are young. And, you can wear your slippers at work! and put in a load of laundry during your breaks!

But, be careful of schemes ... which may sound good, but may not be credible!

Good luck!

Nancy Nic

working from home

Hi Melanie...I've worked from my home office since 1996 (for a major corporation, were I've been since 1985). Some jobs can be done from home, others can't. Be suspicious of anyone who says you can make a lot of money in a short period of time. And remember, it's tough to work AND take care of a baby/toddler. I tried it - and then got help!! Check the web - I remember one website called myvirtualcorp that had people who worked from their homes. Don't know if they still exist. Writers/editors are usually in demand, too. I commend you for learning the computer on your own.
