Not Crawling?

I want to start out by saying I'm not neurotic. Truly I'm not. Normally I'm laid back.
But our DD is going to have skull surgery in the near future and the specialists have been tossing around things like brain pressure, damage, genetic testing for other issues ( I guess it's standard), etc. With that in mind, every little thing Eve does gets analyzed to death. I hate it, but there it is.
Now to the issue: She's not crawling or pulling up. She'll be 11 mnoths old in four days. She barrel rolls where she wants to go. Sits up with no problems, babbles like crazy, plays patty cake, is very strong, etc. She was on her hands and knees (we put her there, but she does get up on her own occasionally) for about a full minute last night but ended up just flopping onto her belly and rolling.
The thing is, I don't know that I'd be worrying if she didn't have these head issues.
Am I crazy to be worried about this? Am I crazy in general? I'd appreciate opinions, feedback, etc.

Hey nikki,

Regardless of what is going on medically I think you should investigate getting some therapy services for your daughter. I am a pediatric OT and what you are describing would be considered a developmental delay (unless she was very premature). An Early Childhood Intervention program would probably be your best bet as they provide therapy services in the child's natural environment ie..home or day care. Ask your peditrician about it. Also remember that these kinds of delays may have nothing to do with your daughter's medical issues, some kids just need a little extra "push" to get going with their motor skills, and they do great with just a little intervention. I hope this is helpful and feel free to PM me if you need more info on any thing.

Becca
