My DS was 1 on the 8th and he is not walking on his own yet. He gets around thought, oh boy does he ever! So its really no biggie. I am now good with him taking his time. He's just growing up to fast! (and that is what I tell people and not let it bug me).

And Nat... is Cooper just 'taking in everything' right now? Cause LOOK OUT! that's what ds did. Rolled early, showed some early signs that led me to believe he would crawl and walk early, then stopped it all and started planning his attack in his head! Her didn't crawl until 9 months 1 week and life became a whirlwind! He is far too busy getting into stuff to try to walk yet, but boy can he climb!!!

Enjoy the baby phase!

Okay, fresh from the mouth of Cameron's physical therapist. Avergae walker is between 9-12 months. Normal is all the way up to 18. Don't worry! If she is cruising along stuff, she will be walking soon! Cameron was 13 months. And less than a month later, I long for those non-walking days a lot...

DD started walking 5 days before her first birthday. I had a friend whose kid was 16 mos at the time and was not walking and she was freaking. (I in turn freaked when DD was not really saying much at 18 months).....(of course now they both are walking and talking just fine!).

I have a friend who is a third grade teacher and is a riot. She says, "All kids do the same BLEEP eventually." (Her other nugget: "All parents think their kids are "gifted." I have taught for 20 years and have yet to teach a gifted child!").

Of course, easier said than done...now I'm starting to fret that DD is "behind" in potty training!

Enjoy her first steps!!!!
