HaLey got her first two bottom teeth in 3 1/2 weeks ago. About a week 1/2 before she turned 7mths old. Since then I've really seen a change in her. I enjoy singing while I'm cleaning and she'll start humming with me as I sing(it's so CUTE). Plus she has now mastered pulling herself up! She likes to show off with the "LOOK MOM, NO HANDS!" then PLOP!(luckily for soft carpet and a padded diaper). She has also said her 1st word a week ago which was "Dada" of course, in spite of all my effort to sing MOMMA over and over again it still came out "Dada". So the really cool thing that she's been doing is senses her "Dada" is home. Even before he walks through the front door. She's fast asleep, then all of a sudden I hear it "Dada, DADA, Dada da da da!" over and over again. She's standing up in her crib until Daddy comes and picks her up. I'm like what the heck? She hasn't called for you all day. Anyone else experiencing BABY "ESP"?

How adorable is SHE??? I remember thinking that once we hit the 6th month mark, the changes start coming SOOOOO fast - there's just something new every single day in their little personalities and actions.
Enjoy this time! It's so incredible! And the teeth really start to make the look different once they're really visible - your photos will have a very different look now - who is that big girl? Where'd your baby go???

Hmm... I don't know about ESP, but I think DD has figured out when Dada is supposed to be home and the sounds he makes as he's coming in the door (we have a porch and you can hear the porch door close before anyone gets to the front door). When she hears noises on the porch at about the time he comes home she'll definately start saying 'dada' over and over. I've never had her wake up, though, and do it.

how sweet
I'm new here. I have a one year old. He had the busiest month at 7 months. First teeth, crawling, pulling himself up..... It is so fun. And the growing and changes never end. He isn't much of a talker, but yes Dada was his first too.
It really is amazing how smart those little buggers are! |
