You are so right! I am still laughing at the mental image of A sticking his tongue through your baby gate and "talking" sternly to your dogs.

4 steps! Awesome!

I forgot. Nick now has eight teeth. *blinks* One is crooked. Looks like he caught my genes on that one. Boo.

We're cruising and trying to stand on our own a little for max 5-6 seconds or so. Jessica is holding on while standing with one hand now a lot instead of two. I'm not sure if I am ready for her to walk (and fall).!

I hear ya' Snaps! Wow. Walking? Not ready. I'm not. He will be soon!

The cruising part is so fun to watch though. And if I'm sitting on the floor and he tries to cruise around/over/under me? Easy fun!

But we've already had so many more head bumps and tumbles over just with the standing and moving around! The poor kids will be black and blue when they really start walking!!!

Jenna - find us a T-shirt that will let CPS know our kids are first time walkers and not potential cases for them!

Uh, yeah. With this cruising thing, the newest milestone is a huge bruise on his face. *cries*

Poor Nick!

H walked up to communion (holding my hand) on Sunday. Audible gasps all along the pews.

With all these little cruisers/walkers, maybe we should start a MOST RECENT INJURY thread....

My little one just started speaking simple sentences. It is great, he drinks his juice and then says "ALL GONE!" Very excited and his face lights up! I love it! His new one recently is "I see you" it just melts my heart!

With regard to cruising - we have had our share of bumps and bruises as well. Jessica is sporting a nice resolving yellow one on her forehead right now.

Christina - How old is your child? Short sentences? Now that's impressive.

So Kelcee is finally feeding herself AND making it in to her mouth. Lots less mess ahead of us!

I finally get to join the first year forum!!! My little guy will be 3 weeks on Thursday. He is smiling and trying to coo. He loves his thumb, but cannot figure out how to get it in his mouth!!! Sometimes we cheat and I stick it in there for him. He just sucks away, happy as a clam!!

Hopefully we will clear ICPC and get to go home soon for our next milestone!

Welcome Marci.

Cooing is so wonderful. If you can, make a sound recording on your cell phone or something. I had Nick's coo as my ringer when I first went back to work.

After his little friend (JUST over a year old) demonstrated how to use the walk-behind toy yesterday, baby A tried to use it on his knees. Too cute.

OF course, today, once I was back at work, he managed 3 or 4 steps behind it! Daddy called to tell me about this latest milestone. I predict he's doing his first 5K by the weekend.....

And GREAT NEWS! Mommarmarci is indeed out of the ICPC black hole and will get to experience their next milestone in her home state!

YAY Marci!!!!

walking, walking, walking!!!!

Little T is a maniac these days!! With her 1st b-day officially a week from tomorrow, she is walking all over the place. I think she has finallyfigured out what all the cheering from mom and dad is about!! Tonight she went all the way across the living room - from me to dad - and back - 3 times in a row!!! She is soooo very proud of herself!!!!

And I think i heard "cup" for the first time!!! WOW, where the heck did the year go!!??

H had to have ANOTHER haircut today. That's 2 before the first birthday for those keeping score. It is growing like weeds. His latest 2 tricks: clapping and saying YAY! (we have no idea why, but we cheer anyway) and pushing his toy shopping cart around the kitchen putting whatever he can reach into it.

Still waiting on that 2nd tooth...

HBV - I was just discussing H this weekend when I was telling my hubby you were in the same boat - waiting and waiting and waiting for more teeth!

I SWEAR this week we're going to see another one. REally. I'm sure of it. HAS to happen. We had a couple days of very little appetite and a little more fussiness (we're going to get a new box of Camilia teething drops today, because we're almost out - going through them like crazy!) SURELY one's about to come through (or four or five at once).

Crazy that the boy has had two haircuts! I don't see our first one in our forseeable future yet.
