Lightbulb Father's Day Gift Ideas

Okay, now that Mother's Day is past, let's start talking Father's Day gift ideas. I find this Father's Day especially important as it's Josh's first!

What I am doing is making a MyPublisher book (google it). The software is free. The pricing is decent and you can choose a soft cover book, a hardcover in linen or leather or the big supremo book (also in linen or leather). You can caption the pictures, arrange them however you want and, basically, publish a book of pictures.

I was alerted to this product shortly after Nicholas was born so while everyone always says, "Why do you have 4096-687698 pictures of Nick and Josh and none of you," this is why. I may have to go with the supremo book because it holds 240 pics instead of 120. I haven't counted yet but... whew. There are a lot.

I just wanted to pass this one on. Not only is it a great keepsake but... dang, it's a quality product. My friend made one of her wedding and it's beautiful.

What are YOU doing for Daddy for Father's Day?

(PS - I all ready bought cards. I'm such a nerd.)

My husband is getting the gift of privacy. I am going to pack up my daughter and go to the mall and allow him to read his paper and drink his coffee in peace.

I will probably also make him something yummy for dinner.

Regards,
Brandy

I was thinking of engraving something (not sure what yet) with my daughter's picture in it and a message from her saying: "Happy First Father's Day" Love, Sofia.

I just organized all of the pages (haven't added captions yet) and, my GOODNESS. I need to do one more good photo shoot and perhaps a sleeping picture together. I think we'll go outside on Friday and get that done.

Mmmprivacy. Josh would dig that, TOO. I've also got to come up with as good a meal as I made on Mother's Day!!

From me DH is getting a Willowtree figurine of a father with a new baby on his lap. I got him one that looks like our wedding picture a while back and thought this would be a sweet rememberance. From the baby he's getting a t-shirt that shows a pair of man's shoes next to a pair of baby shoes and says "Fatherhood, the toughest job you'll ever love." I ordered them both from Current.

No your not! Just a happy mommy!

My DH started a tradition with our son on Mothers day. I get on Large bag on M&M's from Daddy and a Small bag of M&M's from "little bit". I also get plan and peanut. So, I wind up with 4 bags of M&M's. It thought that was so sweet. That is what I get each year! I love it.

I am not sure what to get my DH for Father's day. He "forgot" to get me anything for mother's day. He said it was never a big deal in his home growing up. Well, let's just say from now, he won't ever make that mistake again! He felt about 1/2 an inch tall when I got finished with him!

I forgot...It's Valentines that I get the M&M's. Now that "little bit" is getting so big I have to share with him!

I ended up going with the book from Shutterfly as opposed to the other one I mentioned due to their lack of customer service. I can't wait until the book I made gets here. I'll try to take some screen caps later this evening (when Nick isn't on my lap fighting me for the keyboard!) and post so you can see how it came out!!

I plan to do the little plaster hand and footprints in a tin. My sis bought them for me before the baby was even born, and I"ve been saving them up. Hubby doesn't know we have them.

But he informed me that he wants an Adirondack lounge chair (I guess I'd better start hunting the stores...) for HIS BIG DAY so he and the babe can lounge and take naps out on the back patio on nice days (while I'm slaving away stuck in a stuffy office at work all day........)
