Anyone with a failed match that went to adoption in the end?
Has anyone had what they thought was a failed match only for the bio-parents to come back a month or so later and ask you to adopt the child again and go through with it??
PLEASE share some stories with me!! |

Can't really give details yet. Had prospective parents, they changed their minds on signing day, have contacted us again that they do want to go through with it. Should we trust this? Just wondering if anyone has had this happen and it really end in adoption?
I guess I was just hoping for some success stories ![]() |

I haven't had any experience, having only adopted through CPS, BUT, saying this as kindly as possible.... if you are considering disrupting with your 3 year old, I would strongly suggest stepping back, and giving your family time to heal and recover before jumping into another adoption.
It would likely give your children the impression that they are disposable and/or replaceable, y'know? I KNOW that's not your intention, but seeing their brother leave and a new baby arrive very close together would probably not be the best situation for them. I'm only giving another point of view; absolutely NOT meant to be mean or harsh. Only you know what's best for your family in the end. |

I agree with Evansmum. Why are you pursuing adoption and disrupting with a three year old?
