will my adoption be rejected
I would like to try internationally to adopt from China/Korea. I have a DUI with fleeing in my past 6 years ago. It was an isolated event evolved from emational distress from being recently seperated. what do you think my chances are? D

You might look into Korea. I believe there are some threads on the China board about this subject, and my understanding is that China generally does not permit adoption by somone who has had a DUI within the past 10 years.
You said you had separated? Are you married now? I ask because Korea requires that adoptive parents be married a minimum of three years. Don't let all of the restrictions and requirements discourage you though - I am sure your child is out there somewhere. You may just have to search a little harder to find him or her. ![]() |

Dui
Hi,
DH has a similar record. What they required of was that he prove that it was indeed in the past. He had a psych doc write a letter saying something about him being of sound mind and capable of raising a child. We were told that one of the only definite reason to be rejected is if you get caught lying. After our homestudy nobody even mentioned the DUI etc. Best Wishes
