My husband and I were adopting a bay who was born in dec. 04, Everything was going just fine, the b.mom signed the paperwork, no problem. Then we had a d.o. fill out the physcians report and she had written alot of stuff that was not even true, and things that i never even had, and she was not even my doctor. Anyway the state contacted the s.w. ans they got ahold of the birthmom, called and said they were on their was up to resign the paperwork, when they got here it was cat and mouse, yeas, the b.m. said she wanted him to still be adopted by us and they all remarked how well the baby had been taken care of. Anyway we were told it would be just for the weekend, then they took the baby, they left the baby at the adoption fac. the b.m. took off was nowhere to be found, time was running out and the baby was to be put into the systemWe are getting this physcians report all redone by another doctor to show that the report is all untrue, but the state would not wait, they considered all the paperwork invalid. Our hearts have been ripped out and our little boy who has been gone now for 21 days is sure to be hurting too, taken away from the only mom and d ad he has ever known. We also have had other doctors comments on my husbands physcians report on how wonderful the baby was doing and what wonderful care he was recieving. Now that we are getting this report redone due to the vendictive d.o. someone should stand up for us, as we were done wrong by this d.o. And the d.o. kept saying remarks to me as, I probably knocked you out of the running to adopt this baby, as I have knocked alot of other women from adopting babies, and so on. Since this is being corrected we should be able to continue the adoption, but he is in the system now and don"t know what to do. Is he lost for good? Does any one know how to go about getting him back, we live in calif. And he is in another county. We will never be the same. Any one had the same experience with a d.o.?
And how did you handle it. |

I'm sorry I don't have any specific advice for you but I wanted to tell you that you made your post at the end of an old thread, instead of starting a new thread. Your post might get overlooked so you might want to start a new thread.
By the way, we don't use the initials b.m. here - it's easy enough to type out bmom. I know you didn't mean any offense. Best wishes.
