Update on my precious daughter
It's been a month since Anaya has been home and I'm thrilled to report she is doing fabulously! We celebrated her 10th birthday at Disney World and took her to see a very good friend in NYC last week. Today, she started school and came home happier than I've ever seen her. She loves her school, says her teacher is really nice and was able to make many new friends on her very first day of school.
I just wanted to share some of our wonderful moments with our daughter with the forum. I also wanted to post some positive news about adopting older children. I'm sure we will have our ups and downs but for now our precious daughter is adjusting amazingly well and we feel blessed! I have some great pictures of our first month posted on our family blog that is now open for everyone to see! Our Joyful Blessings

Thanks for the update on your daughter. It is great to hear the wonderful stories. We brought our 5 yr old son home from Ethiopia in June and he is doing wonderfully as well. He is a happy boy and such a joy and a blessing to us. Adopting an older child has been an absolutely terrific experience for us!

Jan 2009 started Ethiopia Adoption March received I71-H transfer to Ethiopia April 2nd formally accepted referral of 5 1/2yr old precious boy! May 15th - passed court!! June 13th - ours forever!! June20th - HOME!!
