have anyone heard of this
WE had done our homestudy, received our I171H, and completed our dossier, and mailed it in, then our agency called us to say that since my husband had a DUI, which was over 12 years ago, (and was disclosed in the preapp) that we wouldnt be approved by MOWA and they would not now send in our dossier. I dont remember seeing anywhere that Ethiopia didnt accept minor criminal offenses, has anyone heard of this. We disclosed everything up front, so we were very upset that they would tell us this now. any advice. thanks, Elizabeth

I would suggest doing some shopping around with other agencies. Most agencies will not accept criminal offenses that are either very current or involve child abuse, violence, or domestic violence. Not all agencies working in Ethiopia are equal and they have different requirements. If you are comfortable, PM your agency name to me and I will let you know what I know of the agency.

I agree with Samantha. We had a minor issue too and it didn't cause any issues.
