Any Agencies Still Accepting Singles?
Could anyone please PM me the names of agencies that are still accepting single mothers? It seems like all of my options are drying up!
I have already looked into Adoption Associates and International Adoption Net so I don't need any infomation on them.

Early 2004: Started dating DP January - March 2005: Started researching adoption and heard about embryo donation March 1st 2005: Home study application is sent to agency July 9, 2005: I'm officially waiting to matched April 8, 2006: "Married" DP November 25th 2007: Matched with Firefly's embryos December 19th 2007: First embryo transfer with two grade A embryos = Big Fat Negative January 21, 2008: Second embryo transfer with two A Grade embryos = Big Fat Positive!! October 25th 2008: Firefly is born!!

You could try (edit)..not sure if they are taking singles right now or not.

Sadly, I am pretty certain no one is accepting singles. I am on the singles waiting list for one agency. But I am not really hopeful. I called a couple of months ago, and spoke with a clerical staff person to ask about my status. She told me that I was number 150 on the waiting list. I asked if that meant 150 out of all waiting families, and she said no, that I was 150 on the singles waiting list. I'm not 100% sure she was right, but since they are currently not placing with any singles, and might not be in the future, I decided not to invest the energy into finding out if she was right.
I have cautiously started the process of exploring Haiti, even though I really had my heart and mind set on Ethiopia. I am also considering the possibility that my beautiful Liana is meant to be an only child.

HOLY SMACK 150?!?!?! How many more years until they think you can send your dossier to Ethiopia? If its more than 4 months, I may need to consider fertility treatments...again.

My understanding is that September is the month in which agencies will either be given their new quotas for singles, or be told not to accept singles. I've been waivering for a while. It seems that a couple of agencies were not given quotas on singles, and I've been waiting until after this month to check in and see what the situation is.
