Do we have to wait to get started?
I was wondering how adoption agencies view Credit card debt?
We do have some equity on our house and hubby makes about 110K a year, but will our CC debt overshadow this? Does anyone know what your minimum net worth has to be? We would love to get started and know that finances will lighten up by next December, but this doesn't help us now with a homestudy done today. Thanks for any information anyone can provide ![]() |

We didn't have to have a minimun net worth...you have to be a certain % above the poverty line (don't remember what that is, but it's resonable), and our HS agency wanted basic debt/income ratios to prove that we could pay our bills and still have money left over. Personally, I would think that if you're not maxed out on cc debt you should be fine!

You make more than enought money if hubby is pulling in 110K. My husband and I qualified easy and we make about 90K combined. Good Luck to you!
