If you can believe it, we are still waiting to be submitted! Our referral was the week before Easter and we are still waiting on "one more paper" for our daughter. We are told again "hopefully this week" but we keep hearing that song over and over. Our son's paperwork is complete and so we are waiting to be submitted all together.

How is everyone else doing?

I hope they get it all together soon so you can be submitted soon. That wait is tough!
I'm hoping to find out this week if we've been submitted for a court date yet. My coordinator was out of the office part of last week so I'm also waiting on the answers for several random questions too. We should all have patience perfected by the time we're done with this process, right?

I am sooooo jealous of all of you in process. I know I have my daughter home but I keep day dreaming of another child. My daughter insists that she has a sister already. She has named her Kasha -- not a name I would have picked. I just have to figure out how to afford a second adoption before I start.

Can you take out a loan now and use your tax refund to pay it off? That's what I did for my first adoption. I was going to use this years refund to pay it off but I'm using it for this adoption. Then I'll use next year's refund to pay off my initial loan.

Ideally that would be my option. But my tax liability is so low that it is taking me 4 years to get my entire tax credit from the first adoption. I guess realistically I have a year to figure it out since I should really move before I start another adoption.

We are still waiting on our homestudy to be written up and submitted to our adoption agency for approval. Hopefully this will be done by the end of this week (praying). After it gets approved our homestudy agency can send us the notarized copies and we can send our dossier off to our agency and get our # on the referrel list and send out our I600 form.

Sorry to hear things aren't moving quicker for you.

We're working on finding a new home study agency. Our current home study agency requires families wait six months before pursuing the next adoption. However, we know that by starting on the process now it will be 3-4 months before we have our home study and dossier complete and then another 6-9 months minimum for a referral. Since our dd has only been home 2 months, we would have to wait another 4 months to get the home study process started and since we're not getting any younger, we really want to get everything started.
