Referral!!!
I'm excited to announce that yesterday I accepted a referral for a 5 year old little girl named M. Of course, she is absolutely beautiful (aren't they all)! Right now I just really hope we can make it through court before the closure in August.

Oh my goodness! How exciting!
My beautiful Liana is very close to your little one's age, and i admit that I am thinking about a second adoption of an older child from Ethiopia! I look forward to hearing about your experiences. Congratulations!

Kerri,
Congrats!!! You must be excited. I would think you would have no problem getting through court before it closes. I know things have slowed down since my adoption but I received my referral on June 29th and I made in through court in 2006. Keep us posted on your process. Samantha

A) Congratulations!!!
B) What closure? DH and I were thinking of changing countries to Ethiopia -- we are currently with Vietnam, but won't make the deadlines.

The courts in Ethiopia close every year for most of August and September. That means there can be a delay if you get a referral before closure but the court opens again and adoptions start flowing again.
