Weygoss Guest House?
Hi all,
My husband and I will be traveling with my parents to Ethiopia in January to adopt our third child from Ethiopia and we are looking for somewhere new to stay (we enjoyed the Hilton, but did not enjoy paying for it!) We've heard some good things about the Weygoss, and was wondering if anyone on here as stayed there adn would be wiling to give us a "review"? It seems that lots of Canadian families stay there (we are in the US) ![]() Thanks in advance! Hi
I was at the Weygoss for 12 days...it was wonderful. We payed 42 dollars USD a night for a double room. We switched to a junior suite (basically a bigger room and a couch) and don't really know if we paid more. We paid an extra 100 dollars at the end of the stay for all of the water, internet, laundry and sodas we bought on tab. the costs inclueds breakfast every morning which is tea/coffee, omelets/pancakes or oatmeal. You can also purchase for extra juice, fruit, croissants, etc. We got juice every morning. and usually shared a croissant (they are huge). The nicest part about staying there is that you can get meals delivered from the Ice Blue Restaurant...they walk it over to your room or to the dining room of the Weygoss..the food is really good and super cheap. A 12 inch pizza is like 33 birr which is just over 3 usd. The rooms are clean, bathrooms roomy. The courtyard is nice to play with the kids. Its close to a grocery store, shops, art gallery and restaurant, and an internet cafe. The staff is amazing and bends over backwards to make you stay comfortable and enjoyable! Our agency said when it comes time we would be staying at the union hotel. I saw a travel book with hotels in ethiopia and didnt see anything about this one. It supposed to be within walking distance of their hannah's hope home.
