The title basically explains itself. Did you know about why your child was abandoned or surrendered? Did you have any medical history? If your child decides one day to explore his or her past, would there be any way to find out information on his or her birth family?

My daughter was relinquished. So I have a definite birthday and the names of her parents. I know some family history but very little medical history. I know the reason she was relinquished. For those children that are abandoned you may know nothing about their families.

My daughter was also relinquished. We have her mother's name, her grandfathers name. What tribe she is from. We could contact the orphanage to get in touch with her mother if we wanted. We do not have much family health history though.

Our daughter was relinquished as well, so we have her parents names and a bit about them, though no medical info. other than they were healthy. We have the names and ages of 7 other family members and of her 2 siblings. We will also be using our agency's post adoption services to hopefully be able to send letters and pictures to her family.

Thanks!!! We're using CHSFS and have been told that we are expected to get through court and get a travel date by the week of June 11. So hopefully SOON! She'll be a year old on the 10th and we just received a weight update today - 12.7 lbs!
