New member needing help
Hello All,
I really haven't posted much if at all. We have been at a crossroads in our adoption decision. We have always felt that we would adopt a child from Asia, and were almost ready to send our paperwork in. The problem is, that Ethiopia seems to be coming up more and more. It seems that everywhere I turned I would see the word Ethiopia, or pictures of Ethiopian children. In short, I began to feel like I was falling in love. I now cannot imagine NOT adopting from Ethiopia. I feel like my child is there. Anyway, to my question: We really want to adopt 2 children, but do it 1 year apart. Are you allowed to do that with Ethiopia? We would like to begin a 2nd adoption about the time that we are completing our 1st. But I thought I read that Ethiopia makes you wait 4 years between adoptions. But I also read about someone that adopted 2 unrelated children at the same time (same age). I'm confused, as you can see. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you all, Renee |

I have researched this a bit and there doesn't seem to be any regulation stating that you have to wait four years between adoptions, but I would call your adoption agency or any adoption agency that works with Ethiopia, just to make sure. You can also email.
Have you thought about adopting a sibling group? |
