How old was your child?
I am especially interested in the age of any boys. I hear that culturally they are considered men much younger than an American boy is. I was initially intending to adopt at least one boy if not several. I always wanted girls when I was pregnant, but I feel really drawn to adopt boys. I am also interested in children not infants. I know it's not the norm, a young, fertile, white woman, in the midwest, with two daughters, with a desire to make African boys her sons, but I feel really called. And I have been really excited about the idea of having sons, but I don't want to take on more than I can handle. Any information on how any of your children behaved, and how much trouble all of you had making the adjustment would help so much.

There is a huge need for families open to boys. SO many people ask for girls. My kids were both tiny on homecoming (6 and 20 months), but I know that AAI at least regularly places school age boys. I don't know about the other agencies
