Ethiopia vs Korea adoption
My husband and I are just starting our homestudy and are considering Ethiopia and Korea. Does anyone have any insight about adopting from these countries?

We have two kids from Ethiopia and two from Korea. Both are great countries to adopt from. There is definitely more need for adoptive families in Ethiopia. In fact there've been rumors that the Korean govt would like to shut down Korean adoption entirely-- that they would like to focus on caring for their own kids now that Korea has become more economically stable. So that might be a factor in your decision-making, given the fact that adoption can take a year or so... But we had excellent experiences in both countries. All the best as you begin this journey! |
