Finally decided on a country, Ethiopia

Okay, so my hubby and I have finally decided on a country, Ethiopia.

A few things helped us make this decision, sadly 1 of which was money. Another reason was the fact that so many children are literally starving to death there. This was a country I had been strongly considering, but I was not sure how my hubby would feel, not because he is racist (far from it) but because I was not sure how he would handle other people's opinions. He does not really care about how other people feel, but if someone said something rude about our child he has a very strong temper!! But when I finally got up he nerve to say something he agreed that this was the perfect country because there is such a stong need.

I told him about a post I had read on one of the boards (may have been this one, unsure) where a woman said some old lady actually had the nerve to walk up to her in a store and say she could not believe the woman had slept with a black man (the baby was of hispanic descent, maybe from Guetamala, but not sure). I told him this was one of the things that concerned me, he said if someone came up to me and said that I should just start gushing and going on and on about my man and how great he is in bed and (probably TMI) how "big" he is LMAO. Let them assume he is black, who really cares right P

So, I was wondering if anyone here has adopted from Ethiopia,. and if so if they could tell me a little bit about the process so we know what to expect. I know there are only like 5 approved agencies to handle Ethiopian adoptions, so that should make picking an agency easier LOL (in theory that is).
Another thing that made the country appeal to us is the fact that your child can be escorted to you (and most of the time, due to the state of the country, this is recommended because travel there can be dangerous). We already have 1 son and have no one around us that we would trust to watch him for 1-3 weeks, so we would have to pay extra travel costs for him. Plus, due to his job, travel is nearly impossible for my husband.
