Can anyone PM me with the story behind why a certain agency's yahoo group was shut down? Is this something to be worried about? While I have not been a member of the community that actively posted, and am geographically unable to attend any get togethers, I have been a "lurker" who found the info and the fellow adoptive moms(-to-be) a helpful community in which to be part. I'm interested in the back story and concerned about the possible implications. Thank you.

I am also confused as to what happened. Because I am in the beginning of my adoption with that agency and Ethiopia, I found it to be very valuable and the links and databases great. I too wonder if there is anything to worry about!

Me too! I just joined the group 2 or 3 days ago and didn't post anything yet, just was reading. I'm a little freaked...is there something going on that we don't know about? We just sent in our contract 3 days ago too.

I am also adopting with the agency and i was part of the yahoo group when it shut down. Alot of people were writing mean things about the agency and one family who have their children home stated that the agency lied to them about the health of their kids (hep b and Tb) which their kids have....and the family was not told and so everyone started attacking the agency. There was a poll and it got very low points. However, I have had nothing but great experience so far. So I am taking this as an individual journey. With life, anything is possible.
