I posted this on the getting started board the other day, but I'd like more Ethiopia-specific advice if anyone can help.
My husband and I are just starting the adoption process, looking at agencies for Ethiopia especially, and know the agency/social worker will gather medical information. My husband has a genetic disorder which can be quite serious but in his case is well monitored and manageable. I am starting to worry, though, that someone in the adoption process will be overly concerned about this. Is Ethiopia very strict about such things? Has anyone else out there adopted with medical issues in one spouse? Is there anything I can do to help the process? Should I call a few agencies right away and ask? Thanks for any advice . . . |

I would call agencies and ask. I know that the dossier medical letter isn't very detailed... it just says you are healthy enought to parent a child.
