Jewish families adopting in Ethiopia
My husband and I are Jewish and we are considering adopting a child from Ethiopia. I am curious about whether any other Jewish families have adopted Ethiopian children, and what their experience was with respect to whether the Ethiopian government expressed any concerns about their faith. Also, what has been the reaction of the Jewish community at home? Thanks.

I am not Jewish, but there are many Ethiopian Jews. Ethiopian Christian Orthodox, Judaism and Islam are the 3 main religions in Ethiopia. Your religion (whether Jewish or anything else) is not an issue with the Ethiopian government when adopting from Ethiopia. Being aetheist is not an issue either.
