Does anyone here have any recipes that taste close to the actual food in Ethiopa that you would like to share?

Why don't you write the owner and ask for some recipes!

Most restaurants I know are willing to share at least a few of their faves.

If it's closed search for other restaurants and write the owner. It might sound odd but it will reap great rewards I bet

I am a very, very sensitive with eating. but i loved the ethiopian dishes:

injera: looks a little bit like austrian pancakes without eggs and withoun milk. it tastes a little bit sour.
ethiopians eat this with their right hands. they pull small pieces from the injera and eat with this little pieces something like mulligans made from peas and beans; and all is a little bit hot.

the lady from the orphanage, where i was invited to eat with them, told the cooky to cook not so hot for me, and the dishes where okey, but one day i ate a green salat (you shouldn't do that); and in this salat something was hidden: it was soooooo hot, my eyes jumped nearly out of my head, at this moment i looked like a snail!
