Korean Buddhism

I am living in Korea and have adopted one older boy and am working on adopting another. They were raised in a foster care facility (thats what they call it, but it's another name for an orphanage) and told they were Christian. But, when we walk around town, they boys seem to know more about Buddhism. I am not exactly a Christian myself, just spiritual, so I have no problems exposing them to other religions. Has anyone else exposed their children to their homelands religions and how has it influenced them? I am just curious. Also, there is the native shamanistic beliefs here, somewhat similar to Shintoism, which I am fascinated by I might add, so how have you done in this religious area?
