The history of adoption in Romania
I was sorry to hear that international adoption has been closed in Romania. Does anyone know where I could find info about adoption and it's history there? I'm just curious. I've always had a heart for those kids. In the early 90's I knew of a single man who adopted a boy from Romania and I so admired him for doing that. Well I have so much admiration for ALL adoptive parents. I think it's wonderful.

I am not aware of any specific material about Romania adoptions but the American Embassy in Bucharest might be of help. I traveled to Romania several times a few years back and learned quite a bit from my translator about the history of Romanian orphanages and the government. If you like Send me a PM and I will write you all I know. The Embassy would be my first step.
