We *may* be getting our 2 yo's newborn sib. She's a week old today. From what we know, bio mom was not drinking through early pregnancy and made it through rehab...so if she was, she didn't get caught. However, throughout the month of Dec, and maybe the end of Nov/beginning of Jan, she started drinking...not sure how heavily.
Anyone know how this might affect the baby? Our FD we know had some exposure, but so far, they aren't diagnosing her with anything. She seems on target developmentally, but does have challenging behaviors!

I have been researching this and from what I've read the early months are the most important. However, anytime cells are mulitplying there is a risk. Did you know alcohol stays in utero twice as long as it does in the mother? That is frightening.
