So Many Meth Babies/Question?

Hi guys, when we started our private adoption our consultant didn't mention this BUT our attorney did mention that many of the birth mother's out West are Meth users.

As I understand, in the states where purchases of sudofederine is monitored, much of the drugs are coming up from Mexico. BUT, the fact is that the drug is cheap, easy to make, and only one "try" and many people are addicted for life. The other thing is that one batch to another are not exactly alike, so the effects on the babies can range from almost nothing to very extreem. As our doctor explained, meth is such a new drug that they may not know ALL the long term effects for many years to come. I know here in WA state it is VERY heavily used and one of the main reasons for children being in foster care.

one of our drs even said it is not the meth itself that causes much of the damage, but rather the things they used to mix it with....household cleaners, other toxins, etc. so it is difficult to tell what will happen, b/c as bug's mom said, each batch is different.
