Time line from homestudy to adoption from agency

I'm just trying to get a feel of how long it had taken to start with an agency, have the homestudy done, get a referral and have your little one arrive home. We are planning to go through an open adoption agency and would like to get a feel from others how long it took.
Were still torn between domestic adoption and a guatemalan adoption.
Thanks,
Amanda

the timeline depends on soooo many things...but ours was, approx 1 month from application to agency having completed the homestudy - from the point of being on the waiting family list, 3 months until we brought our dd home....domestic agency adoption
Good Luck to You!!

Becky,
I do realize there are many different circumstances that can make things longer or shorter for an adoption, but seeing how quickly yours went gives me so much hope and encouragement to do a domestic adoption. Thank You.
