Unhappy Where did you find on-line adoption situations

We are having a hard time locating adoption situations on-line. Could anyone let me know where you found some. We do google searches all the time and keep pulling up the same five or six places that do not seem to have much activity. Could you please pm me as to where we could look? We have been in the adoption process for over a year and half now. Registered with foster adopt (never a call) and also a dossier overseas (program says it will be three years before we are matched--we learned this after our dossier was sent of course). Any help you can give us would be greatly appreciated!!

Are you looking for kids to adopt? Have you tried the Heart program in each state?

Do you mean looking at the heart galleries in each state or do you mean something else. I have never found a child age 4 or under on a heart gallery unless severe special needs or sibling group. Thanks, Kathleen

Kathleen, I don't know who you are licensed and registered with for foster-adopt, but if you are still open to that route, you might want to try going back to them or going through another agency if your county deals with other agencies.

We got our first call about a potential foster/adopt before we were even finished licensing. That match didn't happen, but it was less than two months before one did. Of course, we lived in a large city, so that made it quicker, I am sure.

Another parent I know also signed up to do foster/adopt, with a different agency in our same county. She never got a call, and when she went back to the office after a year, she found that "her" worker had been fired months before, and had just never done anything with her file. She wasn't getting calls because no one there had ever heard of her!

I'm curious about this, too. We are hoping to adopt and find a situation online...a newborn up through preschool age child, special needs okay, too. I've found some websites and placed our profile on one but it seems like there must be more resources out there.

finding adoption situations

We too are looking for any help finding adoption situations. I look daily online and have joined a few forums but I agree, they don't seem to add situations very often. Thanks in advance for any replies!
