Agency advice???
What did you look for in an agency to know you wanted to use them? I have looked at so many agencies and of course everyone has an opinion on good or bad and usually I get one of both for the same agency - so how do you decide? What things should I look for in the agency themselves? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

We deep into the research part right now
![]() Things that we're looking for? --will they even take us. Specifying gender isn't okay with some. Being of no religion has elimanted others. One agency I spoke with needed proof of infertility, which I don't have. --I have a moral problem with agenicies that refuse to adopt to gays. --Size of the agency. Some larger ones can move faster (totally generalizing, you realize), while small ones are often more personal. --Lawyer or agency, we're still pondering this, as I have seen some rave reviews of a few outstanding attorneys. --Birthmom care following delivery. Do they assist her in anyway through what may be the hardest thing ever faced for her? Such a huge thing for me. Some treat them horrible after they've delievered ![]() --Proximity to you. Proximity to birthmoms they tend to work with. We're going national most likely. I don't mind the travel that might be needed, and the internet makes a lot of it easy. but if there is a good agency nearby, that might be preferable to some. --REVIEWS! Obviously can't be 100% all of the time. But the yahoo groups on reviews of agencies is great. Domestic is not nearly as thourough as the international group, but still good sources. GOOD LUCK!!!!
