Homestudy Question - Number of Bdrms
My husband and I are researching adoption and are leaning towards a domestic infant adoption. We are also purchasing a condo. We found one we love and it is 2 bdrm. We have a 3 1/2 year old daughter.
This condo would be a stepping stone for us to get into the market. We plan to live there for about 2 years and then sell to trade up to a bigger home. The master bdrm is huge and plenty of room for a crib and changing table. My dd's room is also quite large and the current owners have two children in there. There is also a third level which would be office/playroom. My question is, the agency mentioned the size of your home doesn't matter only that you have a room for the child. Does that mean the child has to have their OWN room, or is it okay to have an infant in the master bedroom and then later share with a sibling? Should we keep looking for a 3 bdrm? Thanks in advance for any help you can give! Sharon |

I wouldn't think that there would be a requirement for the child to have his/her own bedroom (except in specific instances, such as therapeutic foster care). However, check with your agency, as different agencies require different things.
