Winter Buddies: Domestic Parents Waiting to be Matched

Looking for other buddies. We are working with a CA attorney. We have already endured two failed matches. The first PBM disappeared into thin air. The second situation got very uncomfortable for us--it really started to feel as though PBM/BF were selling the baby so we reluctantly walked away.

Now we wait again for that "perfect" match. Anyone else waiting?

Waiting as well

We are waiting as well for a domestic match. Its been 6 months. We are with a private agency in canada. Our DD is almost 3.5 yrs and we only waited 6 months for her so we are getting antsy.

The wait is hard but I an trying to cope. How long have you been waiting?

We are waiting also. We live in MI and are using an agency in TX and NV. We have been waiting 2.5 months. The waiting is SOOOO hard, i really didn't think it would be as hard as it is. We are just trying to stay busy and focus on all of the things we can do since we don't have children.

We're in MI too. We're working with an in-state agency. We've been waiting almost four months.

We're in MI as well. We have just begun the process (about 1 mo. ago) and are still waiting for our final profiles to be printed.

Many thoughts and prayers to those of us waiting. In God's perfect timing, we'll be matched with the child that He has made for us. (it's a lot easier said...and so hard to remember!)

4 months and waiting.......

We are also waiting. It has been 4.5 long months since we were homestudy approved/officially on the waiting list. To date, few referrals and still no match.

We are trying to stay positive. I am glad to have you guys for support, chatting with you is a great help, besides it gives my DH and darling family a break (for now!). Waiting is equally as hard for them.

They really really are good listeners.

Take Care Everybody,
Jazzi

8 long months & still waiting....

[font="Century Gothic"]Hello Everyone!! I came across this thread & hoping I could join in. Wanting to meet others playing the "long waiting game." DH & I have been waiting 8 long months so far. Our book has been shown numerous times, but we've not been chosen to meet with a pbm. We were told that it could take awhile since we are hoping to adopt a infant female.

I already have the nursery painted & I have bought a few things (not a lot). I decided I wasn't going to buy anything else until we are "matched". I have this fear of having everything needed & ready; to never get a "match". Even though in my heart, I know that our little girl will find us. I am sure that all of you understand how you can become paranoid, anxious with worry, & your mind startes to wander.

I am looking forward to sharing this journey with all of you & sharing in the joy when each of us find our "match".

GOOD LUCK!!

Congrats to those of you that have painted and begun to set up the nursery. I am so nervous about preparing too soon. I have however, begun to window shop (no purchases to date) for nursery items. You guys have given me inspiration.
