Scam Warning In IL
I want everyone to know about a married couple in Illinois that have scammed us. They were/are working with us and at least 3 other adoptive families. They were living in an appt in Westmont, but are from Chicago. Both mother & father are in their twenties. She is due at the end of July. They have a 6 year old son. I don't know if I'm allowed to use names here, so PM me for more info.

Homestudy completed! 10/26/4 Profile submitted 11/9/4 (our anniv!) We're matched! Due December '05 5/13/5 A 2nd family has picked us! Due July '05 6/3/5 Do we adopt two?!?! Family due in July turned out to be a scam... 6/23/5  December match has decided to parent. 12/6/5 We've been matched with a family due in Feb... this one feels *right*!  We're back to square one.  We've been blessed with a sky baby born March 7, 2006.  In our arms forever, March 10th.Miracles DO happen!

Hopefully. That's why we wouldn't let this rest until SOMEbody would listen and DO something about it!
We called every governmental body we could think of, telling them our story, asking what legal action could be taken. Finally the State's Attny's office said something other than "Sorry that happened. There's nothing we can do." - Maria K
