Obtaining passport before finalization
My husband and I are missionaries in the Netherlands and we are adopting domestically from MI. Once our baby is born, we will have to go back to The Netherlands before the adoption is finalized. It is my understanding that MI will not give us full custody of the child until the adoption is finalized (about 6 months after birth parents relinquish rights). Does anyone have any advice for us on how we can obtain a passport for our child? We really could use some help! THANKS!
