Question Lutheran Services

Does anyone know anything about adopting through Lutheran Services? I plan on calling them today to send me some information on their services, but don't know much about them right now. My husband met someone yesterday who adopted through them and had two successful and uncomplicated adoptions. Just looking for more information.

Thank You,

Stacy

Stacy:
I think you may find that it depends on where you live and the Lutheran Services that is dealing with your area.
I say this because we have had one successful adoption through a Lutheran agency in our state. While we are licensed with them, they are not the only agency we are working with in trying to locate an AA or bi-racial baby girl.

In our state, there is the agency known as Lutheran Child and Family Services and Lutheran Social Services. One is a great agency........the other, I wouldn't give you a 'plug nickle for'. This may be a totally different experience in your state or area.

Best advice I can give: Do as you are.....call them and ask questions. An agency is only as good as its policies and caseworkers and counselors.

Good luck in your search.....

Sincerely,

Linny
