Process to dissolve an adoption in Illinois?

I don't have any idea where to start, and there is no information on the web. I would appreciate any feedback on your experience or what the process is.

Thanks.

You need an attorney. My state does not allow one to dissolve and adoption unless their is another familiy willing to adopt the child. Not sure if Illinois is easier to deal with or not.

Often adoption subsidy will pay for a child to go to a group home or residential setting if they are unable to live at home. Again, varies by state.

You might want to go to Welcome to Attachment & Trauma Network* - ATN and request to be on their support list. Someone there may be able to give you information. I know their on many Illinois families on the list.

We live in IL and have been through this process two times. Illinios is NOT an easy state to deal with in this respect. PLEASE feel free to pm me.

Sincerely,

Linny

Curiouse as to what the reason for the disruption is. See that you were considering adopting from Russia in 2006 and nothing in between?

I don't have any suggestion for you, but wanted to send good wishes your way. Disruption is such an incredibly difficult thing to go through.
