Learning about Learning Styles
This is the first in a series of threads about learning styles. I hope you find them helpful and write to tell us of your experiences with yourself and your children.
This model describes four ways people receive information: Visual - receiving information throught the eyes, what we see and read. Some children teach themselves to read and prefer color illustrations and materials that have charts and graphs. Auditory - learning best by hearing - either on tape or in a discussion. Kinesthetic - energy in motion - needing to make physical contact with things learned. Social - learning through interaction with other people - especially one on one attention. Which way do you learn best? How about your child(ren)? Let us know! Nancy Nic |

~~~~this is how I learn the best...... Auditory - learning best by hearing - either on tape or in a discussion. This is how my 20 year old son learned the best and It seems to be how the nearly two year old son learns to best Kinesthetic - energy in motion - needing to make physical contact with things learned. This is the only way my 19 year old learned anything Social - learning through interaction with other people - especially one on one attention. This is exactly how our five year old daughter learns the best
