I am 27 years old and my girlfriend of one year is 25 years old. She was adopted on 11/10/1980 and her birthdate is 10/11/1980. She is the love of my life and I plan on marrying her as soon as we are both settled in with our careers. We have been close friends for many years and it has finally developed into a long overduel romance. She has just graduated from Grad school from Iowa University and we are planning a life together and she wants to find her birth parents. Her adopted family is absolutely great and she couldn't not have asked for a better upbringing but wants to find her birth parents for health reasons and she thinks it is time. She was adopted from Quincy, IL through Catholic Charites. She applied and filled out the necessary forms to find her birth parents but they told her it would be 1 1/2 to 2 years before they could do anything. She know little about her birth parents. I was just wondering if anyone knew any other routes to take to find them or what is the best way to get this done. Please give any advice you can to help me out with this. I feel like this is my greatest mission in life right now to help her find them. I don't know what I can do alone but please help me out with any suggestions.
