My mom is the master of "Oh, I don't care what we do, surprise me" (kiss of death) and then when we say "How about this Mom?" and reveal our plans she crinkles her nose

So I believe we decided to go over to her house in the afternoon for a while, and then we are off to MIL's for dinner.

I have to tell you , maybe it's because of all the issues surrounding my feelings about adoption, but I am really not liking Mothers Day this year. I can't put my finger on it, but I'm sad.

(((((((((((((((((((((( for all first moms )))))))))))))))))))))

I have been reunited with my first parents for 2 years & 5 months and with every Mother's Day I cry for my first mother for the pain she has endured all these years. I love her dearly and look forward to the time we can spend Mother's Day together. As she reminds me about things we hope for..... some day it will happen.

Well my boyfriend is proving to be a butt, once again. I just don't know if I can take how you are around holidays... OMG Christmas, Mother's Day and kiddo's bday... suck it up you butthead. I sacrifice so much for his kid. I'm thinking this might be a breaking point for us, I just don't like that at all.

My mom and dad are going to be here tomorrow though. We're going to have pie at my favorite pie place in town

2-16-2009 I got a promotion, that comes with a raise. Mom and Dad are visiting and we're going to Al's for pie to celebrate.
4-27-2009 Dad surprises me with a Lady Ugly Stick (an awesome fishing rod that is pink) and a 2nd Iowa Light Artillery Battery jacket. I'm a lucky girl!
5-30-2009 Kiddo turns five. It is hard to believe he is that old already, it seems like just yesterday he was being born. I was at peace for the first time on his birthday, what a nice feeling.
6-13&14 2009 A cannon live fire in Casper WY. We got third place and I got to see Devil's Tower for the first time, it was pretty awesome.
7-4-2009 Amelia the kitten comes to live with me and Liz. Talk about jealousy, Liz will adjust though.

Oh no Belle! I'm sorry to hear he's being a butt. You know I'm here if you need to whine.

Pie's good

Sorry Belle...that sucks.

Ok, I ended up spending 7.5 hours in a kayak today. Every muscle hurts. Every muscle. Including the one's in my toes. I have blisters covering my hands. It was the best day I've had in years...

Which I'll need because my brother just called and his wife has a migraine so he arranged for my entire family to come to my house. Nice. I thought they were coming over here and he hijacked...God love 'em.

Hope I can get out of bed in the morning!

Thanks everyone. He brought me chocolate tonight and wished me Happy Mother's Day, not that that makes up for it, but it was a nice attempt I guess.

Y'all are always welcome for pie! Lemon cream cheese... OMG SOOOOOOOOOOOO good!!!

Can you come over and clean for me Belle?

I have done nothing but procrastinate and I have to straighten up and run errands and get to my parent's house. I am just not into it today.

I hate when it sneaks up on you!

I have to tidy the apartment today too....just not feeling any desire to put my feet on the floor and get off the couch...unless it's to go attack what's left over from my Pizza Pity Party last night (yes Brown, there is still MOST of the two pizzas, cheesy bread, and 2 Liter of Coke left)...yeah, I think pizza for breakfast is gonna be necessary today.

It's a sucking! I get whammed with three mother's days. First in March is mum's day in England, my oldest daughter was born there. Now today, the worst really. I thought last year that I could finally celebrate! But I was going to have my ftf with my son in a couple of days. Then in a couple of weeks is mother's day here.

I just want to spend the day curled up in the bed being miserable

Ugh, three Mother's Days? Blerg indeed!

I think that's the thing that bothers me the most about MDay...I can't just stay on the couch all day. Gotta hit up brunch with MY mom....or else you can be sure I wouldn't move.
