I just found this board this morning. I have had a sleepless night with alot of things going through my head. My story is alot different then some and a lot messier. But right now I am trying to locate my birthson. His name at birth was Billy wayne cannon III. Now it's William Dwayne (unsure of the last name) he was born 1/7/85 in Norfolk VA...
Soryy I wish I had more to offer but that's all i have tina |

an option you could try
Since you have his 1st and middle adoptive name and his birthday you could do a Date of birth search and cross reference it with the first and middle name you have and see if you have any luck finding a last name.
God Bless and Good luck Terri |

I would love to be able to go to the agency that handled the adoption but.............. It's children and family services in ILL and and aren't very helpful with this at all....
I would rather go to a dentist then deal with them...LOL I will try the first and middle names and cross reference them and see what I can come up with... |

** Support
You are NOT alone! Do a google search for birthmother support and you will find many groups and organizations by birthmothers and for birthmothers. Too many to list. Many of us started with less than you have. Some of us were so traumatized we did not remember the date, or in some cases even the city of birth!
But you are not alone...there are thousands of us. And the vast majority of us have had some level of success infinding our about the children we lovingly placed for adoption, or were taken from us. The first step of any journey is the hardest...you've taken that! Best of luck and don't ever give up.

Be prepared for the emotional rollercoaster, but in the end it is all worth it.
Good luck in your search. We're here for you. Barbara |
