New definition of split second

It used to be, the time it took after the light turned green for the person behind you to honk.
Now it's the times it takes, when I'm reading threads, searching for word from my birth daughter and I recognize a date, place or name and my heart skips a beat, before I realize that I'm looking at one of my own posts!
