Digital Scrapbook Software for Profile
I'm using a digital scrapbook software to prepare our profile. The profile is three pages-the first page is the letter with a couple of small pictures on the page, and the next two pages will be pictures with captions. The pages won't be double sided so on one side of each page there will be writing or pictures and on the back side there will just be white paper. I'm wondering...will this look okay? I'm not really into scrapbooking so I don't know if this is how it's normally done or should I have some type of design on the opposite side of each page? Any input would be great. Thanks!

Hi! I'm a scrapbooker, and if you'd like someone to look at your profile, I would be happy to do so.
Why will the pages not be double-sided? Are you constrained to 3 pages total, or to 3 double-sided pages (so, 6 pages total)? If you have the option of using more space, I really recommend it.

Thanks for responding. We're not constrained to three pages. That's just how it turned out with the writing and pictures combined. Since it'll be printed on photo paper (I guess it'll be photo paper...I'm not really sure what type of paper I'm supposed to print it on) I didn't think I could print it on both sides. We have a great printer at home but I'm thinking having it printed at Staples may be a better option.

I don't think double pages vs single pages really matters.
If the paper is holding you back though, you use page protectors (available at Staples and other office supply stores) and slide a front and a back page in. Three pages does seem as though it may be either a bit smushed, or maybe some more info that can be put in.

I like the page protector idea. Thanks!
The reason that it's three pages is that the written portion is in two columns on one page with smaller print. I saw another profile done that way and I liked it, but they were limited to two pages so they had the written portion on one page, with a picture of themselves, and several pictures on the second page. Since we're not limited to a certain number of pages I could change it so that it doesn't look so condensed. I was thinking about doing that because the written part does look a bit smushed. |
