I made a special baby book for my daughter. We didn't have much time before she was born to get to know the birthmother, so everything we get from her(pictures, letter, etc.) goes into this book. We have pictures of the birthmother and our daughter, and then all of us. I think this is neat so when she is old enough we will have things for her and she will know that we all love her very much.

During the pregnancy we saved everything we could. The dinner check from the first encounter we had with the birthmother, a sample of the paint and fabric in the nursery pictures from the ultrasound, hospital items you name it. When we left the hospital we gave our birthmother a teddy bear holding a memory box with all of the stuff we collected in it.
