Every mother-to-be who is considering adoption for her child will be different. I did not get to pick my son's parents, the agency did. I only got to have veto power if I did not like their selection. I just got to see their photo, and know about 5 things about them (age, cultural background, what they did for a living, a bit about their personalities and their family life). Nowadays, things are so different, but my take is that most mothers would want you to be yourself, and talk about all the important aspects of your lives. I would definitely want to know about religion, lifestyle, personality, hobbies, anything that gives a good picture of who you are, both individually and as a couple. I think it's important to just be you and be honest about who you are, rather than try to twist your profile into something you think she wants to see or hear (not that you are doing that, but just saying).

Every Birth Mom is different and we all looked for different things. I lived in birth mother housing for a few months and got to know 5 other girls that had also made adoption plan. To all of us we all choose families that had one parent that could be home with the child. I could have put him in daycare 50 hours a week but I wanted more for him.

To me the most important things were; both parents had to have graduated college as I worked really hard to finish school I wanted my son to have that same importance on school. Next I wanted people that lived healthy active lives. Nutrition is so important and is learned so young that it was a big deal for me.

Make sure you have good pictures. I know it sounds superficial but after looking at 100's of profiles you have to make gut choices and sometimes pictures are all you have to go on.

Thank you! It was exactly what I did. Honesty is the main principle on the profile. As we would like to see if we were the birth parents. Thanks for your help!

Thank you so much for your response! The gut choices are really the final I guess since women are so emotionally more advanced than me and her instinct and intuition really plays a big role on her decision. In the other hand this choice is not done by accident, we all know that God has already a plan for all of us.
Thank you so much for your help and much love.
