Hi, we've sent each other some messages, but I've been out of the loop - just just popped on here for the first time in awhile and saw your beautiful baby photos!!! Oh I am sooo happy for you! I am so happy too that your family is taking to it well!! Just rememember if someone wants to judge you for what you've done, they need to be reminded they have made mistakes too... but you're situation is certaintly not a mistake, but a miracle! Wishing you all the best, and know that if you need anything I am stil here for you! I am glad we were both brave enough to be the parent for our babies.

Somewhere (probably here on the forums...) I heard the phrase "not planned, but not prevented." I told my birthson that phrase definitely described his conception/birth. I find it ironic that at least in the past, many marriages were the result of pregnancies: have you heard the saying, "The first one [baby] comes anytime, the second one always takes 9 months?"
Parenting alone is a difficult choice, but so is relinquishment. You have the responsibility but also the joys of watching your child grow and thrive.

Thanks so much for the nice comments about Emma! She is wonderful! Everyone has taken it so well, both family and friends. Everyone that I care about supports my decision and they all treat Emma so well!
I will continue to update and let you know how we are doing! I hope everyone is doing well

Emma is gorgeous! I have been following your story but did not post as it seemed that you were getting some great support here. Congratulations on making a decision that was right for you!
I am the grandma to an unplanned baby. My daughter struggled with the adoption/parenting decision too. She decided to parent so now we have a boisterous 3-yo running around the house while mom works and finishes college. This is not how we envisioned our daughter's future but it sure the heck is fun! Long Overdue Update!!!
Hi Everyone! I wanted to update you all on Emma and me. Emma is currently a very active, walking, talking, self-feeding 11 month old! She will be 1 on July 8th! I cannot believe how fast she is growing. And every day, I hope you all know, that I thank every single one of you for helping me follow my heart and make the decision to keep her. I cant imagine my life without her. As for me, I got my associates degree in education and will continue with school in the fall- majoring in secondary education/mathematics. I am dating a wonderful man, who happens to be in the army- and he absolutely adores Emma. In my heart I believe he is the one that I will marry. He considers Emma his daughter and makes sure everyone KNOWS that she IS his.
Anyway, I wanted to finally update you all! And as always, thank you..for everything.
